The Stone

Led by music director John Zorn, the Stone is a concert hall inside the New School. It focuses primarily on experimental and Avant-Garde music. Modern, minimalistic and great sounding venue is devoid of any distractions leaving nothing between you and the music.

Come to see musicians push the boundaries of jazz, contemporary and experimental music.

You won’t find any easy listening here, so be prepared to open your mind and really focus on the music. But fear not – you will see the top level musicians here, who remain musical and often quite accessible, even when things get intense and a bit more complicated.
