Shapeshifter Lab

Shapeshifter Lab is a performance space in Park Slope Brooklyn. It feels more like a community center than a club, the sound is fantastic, people are very friendly and there’s a bar to get some drinks.

The program gravitates (but not exclusively) towards more modern jazz, fusion and ethnic and folk projects, so it’s a great place to come and see something new and original when you want to take a break from the standards.

There are also regular jams and workshops led by Matt Garrison, acclaimed jazz and fusion bass player. Check them out if you want to better understand how different aspects of music work and what’s happening on stage between the musicians.
